About Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient treatment at Trust SoCal provides continued clinical support for individuals who have progressed through more intensive levels of care or who present with a level of clinical stability that allows them to benefit from weekly therapeutic engagement. Our JCAHO-accredited outpatient program in Fountain Valley, Orange County, offers one to two sessions per week, including individual therapy, group therapy, and psychiatric services, enabling clients to maintain their recovery momentum while fully engaging in work, education, and family life.
The transition from intensive outpatient or PHP to standard outpatient care represents a significant milestone in recovery. It signifies that a client has developed sufficient coping skills, self-awareness, and stability to manage daily life with less clinical structure. However, this transition also carries risk, as reduced therapeutic contact can create gaps in support during vulnerable moments. Trust SoCal's outpatient program is carefully designed to mitigate this risk by providing consistent, scheduled clinical touchpoints that reinforce recovery skills and provide early intervention when challenges arise.
Individual therapy sessions in our outpatient program address ongoing issues such as relapse prevention, stress management, relationship repair, career development, and continued processing of trauma or co-occurring mental health conditions. Our therapists use evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy to help clients navigate the challenges of early and sustained recovery.
Group therapy remains an important component of outpatient care, providing ongoing peer support and accountability. Our outpatient groups are structured around topics relevant to clients at this stage of recovery, including maintaining sobriety during holidays and high-risk situations, building healthy relationships, managing workplace stress, and developing long-term life goals. The camaraderie and mutual understanding within these groups often lead to lasting friendships that support recovery well beyond the end of formal treatment.
Psychiatric services are available for clients who require ongoing medication management for co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, or bipolar disorder. Our psychiatric team coordinates closely with outpatient therapists to ensure integrated care that addresses both addiction and mental health needs.
Outpatient treatment at Trust SoCal typically lasts three to twelve months, though some clients choose to continue outpatient engagement on an ongoing basis as part of their long-term recovery maintenance plan. The duration and frequency of sessions are tailored to each client's needs and adjusted as they progress. Call (949) 280-8360 to learn about our outpatient treatment options.
