Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale
An 11-item clinician-administered scale used to objectively assess the severity of opioid withdrawal symptoms. The COWS is the standard assessment tool used during medical detoxification from opioids and helps guide medication dosing.
This tool is completed by healthcare professionals who observe and assess withdrawal symptoms during opioid detoxification.

7.GI Tract status
8.Tremor - observation of outstretched hands
