About Neurofeedback Therapy
Neurofeedback Therapy is a non-invasive, technology-based intervention that uses real-time displays of brain activity to teach self-regulation of brain function. At Trust SoCal, our neurofeedback program uses EEG-based biofeedback to help clients recovering from addiction learn to regulate the brainwave patterns that have been disrupted by chronic substance use, improving focus, emotional stability, and impulse control.
Chronic substance use fundamentally alters brain chemistry and neural connectivity, particularly in the areas governing reward, decision-making, and impulse control. Neurofeedback directly addresses these neurological changes by providing the brain with information about its own activity and reinforcing healthier patterns. Over time, clients develop improved self-regulation at the neural level, which translates to better emotional control, reduced cravings, and enhanced cognitive function—all critical components of sustained recovery.
